The Simulator is a unique training and testing solution that provides an incredibly realistic simulated Dispatch environment. For new or seasoned dispatchers, for routine training or proving your disaster readiness, there is no more realistic and powerful a training tool for your Communications Center.
The Simulator connects directly to your CAD training system to provide the most realistic Dispatch environment possible outside of your communications center. Simulator for CAD acts as a “back end” for your CAD training system, creating the “real world” look and feel lacking in other Public Safety dispatch training methods. Your units will track on the CAD system maps, change status in CAD and new calls will appear in the queue. ANI/ALI screen dumps are also simulated just as they would appear in a live environment. In its scripted mode, your own call history is used to feed realistic, consistent scenarios into the training environment. The trainer is freed from “driving the scenario” to do relevant training, while the dispatcher experiences a “real world” interaction with your CAD that is not possible using conventional dispatcher training methods.

In addition to training, Simulator is also invaluable in testing deployment plans. With Simulator, you can “play back” your call history while moving your posts and evaluating station placements all within the simulated environment in real time. Simulator can also be used for scenario based training by the use of “scripting” to evaluate dispatcher performance during a simulated disaster scenario.
